Omni Pocket - Privacy Policy

Effective date: 14 July 2026 · Applies to the Omni Pocket mobile application (the "App").

1) Overview

Omni Pocket is designed to be privacy-first: it does not create accounts, does not include analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, and does not transmit your personal data to the developer. All card and pass data is stored locally on your device.

2) Data controller

Salvatore Boemia (the "Developer"), independent developer of the App, is the data controller for the limited processing described here. You can reach the Developer regarding this policy at salvatoreboemia.dev@gmail.com.

3) Card and pass data

Card numbers, barcodes, names and any other pass information you enter or scan are stored exclusively on your device. This data is never transmitted to the Developer or any third-party server by the App. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the data you input.

4) Camera

The App may request camera access to scan barcodes or QR codes. This access is used solely in real time for scanning; the App does not record video, save photos to your library, or transmit any camera data. You can revoke camera permission at any time in iOS Settings.

5) Apple Wallet integration

If you unlock the Apple Wallet feature and choose to export a pass, the App uses Apple's PassKit framework to add the pass to your Wallet. The Developer does not receive any data through this process beyond what Apple provides locally (such as a transaction confirmation from StoreKit). Once a pass is in Apple Wallet, it is governed by Apple's own privacy practices.

6) In-app purchases

The App offers optional in-app purchases processed entirely by Apple via the App Store and StoreKit. The Developer never receives your payment card or billing details. StoreKit may provide the App with a transaction identifier and status to confirm a purchase; this is not used to identify you personally. Support tips ("offer a coffee") are consumable and non-restorable. The Apple Wallet unlock is non-consumable and restorable.

7) Analytics, advertising and tracking

None. The App contains no third-party analytics, no advertising networks and no cross-app or cross-site tracking. It does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and does not present App Tracking Transparency prompts.

8) Third parties

Aside from Apple (as the App Store distributor, payment processor and PassKit provider), the App does not share data with third parties. Apple processes limited download, diagnostic and purchase information under Apple's own privacy policy, independently of the Developer.

9) Legal bases (GDPR)

On-device processing of card data relies on your consent (given when you add data to the App) and the Developer's legitimate interest in providing a functional app (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Optional camera access is based on the permission you grant through iOS, which you can withdraw at any time. No special-category data is processed.

10) Data retention

All data is stored locally on your device. No personal data is held on the Developer's servers. Data remains on your device until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App.

11) Security

Because data stays on your device, its protection depends on your device security (passcode, encryption, system updates). Keep your device and operating system up to date.

12) Children

The App is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children under 16.

13) Your rights

Because the Developer does not hold your personal data, rights such as access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability can be exercised directly on your device (including revoking permissions in iOS Settings). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

14) International use

As no personal data is transmitted to the Developer, the App performs no international transfer of your personal data. Purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's terms.

15) Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes are published on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

16) Contact

Questions about this policy can be directed to the Developer at salvatoreboemia.dev@gmail.com. See also the Terms & Conditions.
